As a child Ghanemian made good grades in science classes, but the art grades were much better. Growing up, he used to watch his father , a Sales Manager for IBM,
draw reproductions of Christmas cards for Ghanemian's mother,a kindergarten headmistress, to use in her classroom. Young Ghanemian started doing reproductions as well, and one day
he made a precise outline sketch of a toy car as if it was placed on paper and traced. When he showed
it to his parents, they demanded to draw another one; he did, but never again without proper attendance.
Nevertheless , he said " I was never encoraged by my parents " to pursue art as a profession.
The young artist was encouraged by his highschool teachers and at 16 he could draw better than ever before. Special thanks for Mr and Mrs Lawrence.
Now he is an Aerospace Engineer in Technology and his sister is business woman ; Business Administration.
Here is an old photo, 1965 in Lebanon, before going to Africa for 3 years.
